Hipolito Igon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shuspendemo's Ismael Vellito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Ponce in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Venancio Kepa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shuspendemo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Kepa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Vellito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Navarro in the 30th minute of the match. Ismael Vellito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Shuspendemo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Bosse Knoll hit a great ball. Ismael Vellito acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ahmed Cohen-Tannoudji. Gaspar Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shuspendemo made a substitution. Shuspendemo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Cabañas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Thiago Almada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ismael Vellito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bosse Knoll fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 98th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Shuspendemo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
