The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Nihat Ilıca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentino Herauso came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Nihat Ilıca. But to his dismay, Nihat Ilıca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's goal looked a bit too open when M. Agus Young came free, but Ter Stefanek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Llorienzo. M. Agus Young could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ter Stefanek made a huge save. M. Agus Young blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ter Stefanek having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when M. Agus Young got free with Ter Stefanek in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Santa Lucia de Merlo getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alvaro Llorienzo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nihat Ilıca in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Herauso saved Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's goalkeeper Ter Stefanek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by M. Agus Young. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Casado in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nihat Ilıca in the 33rd minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Florentino Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute M. Agus Young shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stefanek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ter Stefanek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of M. Agus Young's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nihat Ilıca in the 38th minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Florentino Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nihat Ilıca in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. M. Agus Young was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, M. Agus Young ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ter Stefanek was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Pascal Som managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Teofilo Ourente in the 63 minute of the game. 69 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Florentino Herauso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nihat Ilıca. Florentino Herauso made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Nihat Ilıca sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Llorienzo during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santa Lucia de Merlo's Alvaro Llorienzo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Enio Coelho was substituted for Nihat Ilıca. Santa Lucia de Merlo made a substitution. Sergio Berdaitz replaced Nils Myhr. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Maximo Peru was substituted for Prospero Jobo. In the 74th minute, Alvaro Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Fiz in the 76th minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Florentino Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Fizs short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Florentino Herauso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ter Stefanek came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros. But to his dismay, Polo Quinteros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Bosse Spendrup quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Teofilo Ourente, made in the 82nd minute of the game. Julian Casado hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Enio Coelho in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalie prevented a goal. Alvaro Llorienzo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Enio Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Florentino Herauso made a huge save. A collision led to CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Teofilo Ourente hit a great ball. Pascal Som received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ter Stefanek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santa Lucia de Merlo.
