Justino Amato was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Hornos's players had a chance to rest. 14 minutes into the game, Dário Prada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Martin Leheren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Talleres de Escalada's goal looked a bit too open when Gene Simmons came free, but Martin Leheren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Dário Prada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Martin Leheren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Los Hornos's Silas de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Casciano in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Casciano in the 36th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Silas de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dário Prada in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Leheren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, Dário Prada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Leheren. Talleres de Escalada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dário Prada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jaime Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Leheren having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Attilio Casciano was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Casciano came free, but Silas de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talleres de Escalada were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Los Hornos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thibault Moon took the corner. The corner led Talleres de Escalada's Jonas Tingelholm to fire away a dangerous shot which Silas de Andrade despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Silas de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Casciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Lucas Staff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Leheren having to interfere. Miran Moco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas de Andrade having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Dário Prada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Hornos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Talleres de Escalada's Rigoberto Argider was substituted for Attilio Casciano. Silas de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miran Moco in the 87th minute of play. Martin Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Prada in the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to Talleres de Escalada getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Remigio Feliu hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Dário Prada recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Leheren. Dário Prada showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. 95 minutes into the match, Talleres de Escalada's Jonas Tingelholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silas de Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Los Hornos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
