In the 19th match minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carroll Mansfield to maneuver through the defense. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Guillermo Frank got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Guter Tobia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Ceni. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guter Tobia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillermo Frank. The audience was convinced that Clarence Seedorf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Ceni was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The supporters of Aves Negras booed when Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's zone, Humberto Urtsin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal and Humberto Urtsin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steve Harris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS made a substitution. Melchor Markel replaced Steve Harris. Marcial Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cumhur Günay in the 77th minute of the match. Efrain Artal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Rogério Ceni when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aves Negras were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raimundo Padro took the corner. The corner led Aves Negras's Efrain Artal to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Efrain Artal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aves Negras's Marcial Bakar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Pracki in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
