When Jaime Veronica came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Los Hornos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Veronica couldn't finish the play. Long Sen Jing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Prada, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Adolfo Qwinton made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fernan Tulio. In the 22nd minute Cesar Flor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Hornos's Jaime Veronica quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Indar Campon, made in the 25th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Tulio in the 28th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Silas de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Hornos's zone, Cesar Flor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas de Andrade came out of the goal and Cesar Flor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silas de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Sulser in the 35th minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Joe Sulser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Hornos's Silas de Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Veronica kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dário Prada made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in La Tribuna Tambien Juega's zone, Dário Prada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Long Sen Jing came out of the goal and Dário Prada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Hornos's Silas de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Flor in the 54th minute of play. Long Sen Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Prada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Joe Sulser managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Tribuna Tambien Juega's supporters rose to their feet, but Joe Sulser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La Tribuna Tambien Juega's Celestino Fernandez was substituted for Cesar Flor. 73 minutes into the match, Oodo Rosin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of La Tribuna Tambien Juega's Long Sen Jing. Long Sen Jing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
