The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcial Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Aballe in the 6th minute of the match. Marta Pressley made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Guter Tobia sent off a good shot on target. Marcial Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Claudio Caniggia kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Aves Negras got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Padro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Bela in the 17th minute of play forced Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Guter Tobia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marta Pressley. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Raul Aballe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcial Bakar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Marta Pressley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guter Tobia in the 37th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Raul Aballe put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marcial Bakar. After a rather tough play, Aves Negras's Giovani Lo Celso got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Marcial Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Aballe in the 43rd minute of play. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Romulo Loiola with Raul Aballe as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Giovani Lo Celso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marta Pressley having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Aves Negras made a substitution. Aaron Gallagher replaced Giovani Lo Celso. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Aballe to make the kick off. Aves Negras's Marcial Bakar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Bela in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Hugo Bela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3.
