Rebelution's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Descamisados CF the free kick. Thiago Machado hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rebelution's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Raphael Mazon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rebelution's Agustín Rossi did a great save. The Rebelution players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Descamisados CF were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Baraquiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Baraquiel in the 58th minute of play. Oliver Petersson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lawrence Lawless read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Descamisados CF made a substitution. Adrian Txartiko replaced Primeiro Imperiale. Rebelution were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Descamisados CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Americo Frascuelo took the corner. Rebelution's Chiquito Flores was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lawrence Lawless in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an all-out effort, Descamisados CF's Agustín Rossi threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adrian Txartiko, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rebelution made a substitution. Frank Teixeira replaced Luisito Tiniebra. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rebelution's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Raphael Mazon was slow to take the kick. During this time Descamisados CF's players had a chance to rest. Lawrence Lawless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Petersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute.
