Spectators: 6855 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dale Preston kicked off to start the match. Jasper Brookes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jasper Brookes struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Joe Lynam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stock. Blackburn's Scott Mallaby got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dale Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Scott Mallaby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackburn's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Mallaby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Craig Barker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Craig Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Preston, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Dale Preston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, Blackburn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Berryman to maneuver through the defense. Les Haigh didn't quite understand what happened when in the 40 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alastair Edmonton during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stock's Alastair Edmonton got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Dale Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dean Ploughman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Scott Mallaby struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Blackburn's Joe Lynam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Blackburn from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Blackburn getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dale Preston hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Austen Fry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Dale Preston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blackburn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 66th minute Dale Preston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Craig Barker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scott Mallaby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Craig Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Stock's zone, Scott Mallaby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Craig Barker came out of the goal and Scott Mallaby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Sonny Leighton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Blackburn's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Ploughman came free, but Joe Lynam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Stock's Jasper Brookes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joe Lynam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Blackburn's Dale Preston in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stock's goalie prevented a goal.
