Spectators: 6846 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brandon Ellis made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Stock's zone, Curtis Crittenden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Craig Barker came out of the goal and Curtis Crittenden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brandon Ellis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Craig Barker having to interfere. Brandon Ellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Craig Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Burton upon Trent FC's Benjamin Hammett got a free kick in the 8th minute. Stock's Craig Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Ellis in the 13th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Burton upon Trent FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Ripley to maneuver through the defense. Jasper Brookes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Morris having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Burton upon Trent FC's Curtis Crittenden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Craig Barker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Brandon Ellis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burton upon Trent FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brandon Ellis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Craig Barker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Curtis Crittenden in the 43rd minute of play forced Stock's goalkeeper Craig Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Dean Ploughman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half Burton upon Trent FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dean Ploughman made a kick off. Jasper Brookes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calvin Saville hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Jasper Brookes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Stock's Dean Ploughman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clive Morris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Stock booed when Burton upon Trent FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guy Heywood didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jasper Brookes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Dean Ploughman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Morris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Sonny Leighton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stock's Craig Barker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Stock from getting a goal against them. After 74 played minutes, Stock's Johnnie Styles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clive Morris came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stock reached it. Clive Morris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dean Ploughman, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Dean Ploughman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Brandon Ellis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Craig Barker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Stock's Craig Barker got control of the ball when Curtis Crittenden tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Stock supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Burton upon Trent FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Burton upon Trent FC.
