Paul Major made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Haskell in the 17th minute of play. Peter Crowther fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Beadel having to interfere. Peter Crowther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Johnathan Beadel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Liam Notley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whiteley FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stafford the free kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddie Haskell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Mickey Pritchard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Whiteley FC's Paul Major proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Whiteley FC from getting a goal against them. Peter Crowther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Stafford's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Crowther came free, but Johnathan Beadel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geoff Grainger hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Paul Major made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mickey Pritchard in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Whiteley FC's goalkeeper Paul Major had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mickey Pritchard.
