Spectators: 6871 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1871, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Freddie Haskell started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mickey Pritchard sped through Vauxhall United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Duncan Dunn. Duncan Dunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Haskell in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Burley in the 23rd minute of play forced Stafford's goalkeeper Johnathan Beadel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Stafford got a freekick which was hit by Carlton Butterfield. Johnathan Beadel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Burley in the 26th minute of play. Duncan Dunn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddie Haskell's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Ralph Foreman's late challenge caught a Vauxhall United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralph Foreman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vauxhall United booed when Stafford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Foreman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Len Longley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Beadel having to interfere. Freddie Haskell struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Duncan Dunn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stafford. Adam Burley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Adam Burley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Beadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Stafford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Butterfield to maneuver through the defense. Stafford's Johnathan Beadel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Burley in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Stafford booed when Vauxhall United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reggie Paine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Dunn was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Fisher.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Burley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Adam Burley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Beadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adam Burley came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Vauxhall United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Burley couldn't finish the play. Duncan Dunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Pritchard in the 56th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Freddie Haskell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan Dunn was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Adam Burley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Burley in the 65th minute of play forced Stafford's goalkeeper Johnathan Beadel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Len Longley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Johnathan Beadel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Len Longley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Stafford's Johnathan Beadel got control of the ball when Len Longley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Fisher kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
