The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Moyle helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Weybridge got a freekick which was hit by Carl Moyle. When Micheal Ricketts came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Eston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Micheal Ricketts couldn't finish the play. Carl Moyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Den Westwood having to interfere. If Sean Edison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Francis Trotter came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Weybridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francis Trotter couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Eston booed when Weybridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Gibbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Stewart Duff sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Weybridge's Barney Simms didn't even have to move. Francis Trotter struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Den Westwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Weybridge. Carl Moyle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Den Westwood skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Micheal Ricketts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Simms having to interfere. Den Westwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Trotter in the 33rd minute of play. Weybridge's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joey Gibbs in the 35th minute. The corner led Weybridge's Joey Gibbs to fire away a dangerous shot which Den Westwood despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Barney Simms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micheal Ricketts in the 40th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean Edison in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barney Simms prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Eston booed when Weybridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Burgess didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Weybridge's Carl Moyle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Den Westwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Matty Atkinson tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Den Westwood. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 53rd minute. Micheal Ricketts received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barney Simms came out and tried to block the shot, but Micheal Ricketts slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 56th minute. Barney Simms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Edison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Sean Edison took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Barney Simms to make any attempt to save it. If Carl Moyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Den Westwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Moyle in the 82nd minute of play. Francis Trotter scored 3-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Den Westwood, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barney Simms made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micheal Ricketts in the 93rd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Weybridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennie Ripley to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Eston players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Weybridge.
