With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trevor Archer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12thth minute of the game Patrick Shephard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOGUI UNITED IS BACK's Franz Lowe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Rising Bridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kasey Horseman came free, but Trevor Archer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Sharpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Archer having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Phil Hallam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trevor Archer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasey Horseman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Sharpe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trevor Archer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. SOGUI UNITED IS BACK's Franz Lowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Shephard in the 29th minute of play. Fred Day struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Franz Lowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rising Bridge AFC. Patrick Shephard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franz Lowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Shephard in the 38th minute of play. SOGUI UNITED IS BACK's Franz Lowe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save SOGUI UNITED IS BACK from getting a goal against them. Leon Archer hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasey Horseman was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Rising Bridge AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Kyle Powell hit a great ball. If Rod Layfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aaron Sharpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th match minute, Rising Bridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Archer to maneuver through the defense. If Kasey Horseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasey Horseman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Aaron Sharpe sped through Rising Bridge AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trevor Archer. The supporters of SOGUI UNITED IS BACK booed when Rising Bridge AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Archer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Patrick Shephard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Lowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
