The tension between the Stockton-on-Tees and the BOCA JUNIOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stockton-on-Tees's Daryl Chandler got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 31st minute, Martin Grantham made a precise shot to the right of Justin Lock. BOCA JUNIOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Stockton-on-Tees's Martin Grantham in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BOCA JUNIOR's goalie prevented a goal. Adam York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam York was the one to do the kick off. Philip Shephard hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Stockton-on-Tees's Ron Barr couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for BOCA JUNIOR. BOCA JUNIOR's Jools Fleming got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Jools Fleming off the ground. In the 54th minute, Jools Fleming hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justin Lock came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Stockton-on-Tees's Martin Grantham. But to his dismay, Martin Grantham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stockton-on-Tees eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
