Belper's Alfie Day got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, BOCA JUNIOR's goal looked a bit too open when Alfie Day came free, but Justin Lock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sean Langdon fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BOCA JUNIOR's protests and gave Sean Langdon a yellow card for diving instead. Stephen Eyre charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stephen Eyre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Stephen Eyre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Belper's Alfie Day sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justin Lock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Belper booed when BOCA JUNIOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jools Fleming didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Belper got a freekick which was hit by Alfie Day. Justin Lock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfie Day in the 34th minute of play. After 36 minutes of play, Belper's Leon Deacon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justin Lock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfie Day sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sean Langdon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The BOCA JUNIOR players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belper were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon Deacon to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Curtis Chapman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BOCA JUNIOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Curtis Chapman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, BOCA JUNIOR's Sean Langdon got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Keith Kirkpatrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Leon Deacon in the 69th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Deacon in the 71st minute of play forced BOCA JUNIOR's goalkeeper Justin Lock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Jools Fleming hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justin Lock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Deacon in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Sean Langdon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BOCA JUNIOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Langdon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Belper's Jerry Wright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curtis Chapman in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Belper's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Chapman came free, but Jerry Wright reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The BOCA JUNIOR supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Belper's performance. The match ended with a win for Belper.
