Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ty Bond took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ashton-in-Makerfield's zone, Ty Bond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillip Deveraux came out of the goal and Ty Bond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harvey Colbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 8 minutes, Harvey Colbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ashton-in-Makerfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey Colbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keepers's Lloyd Dingle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Wilkinson in the 10th minute of play. Dan Froggatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phillip Deveraux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Bond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harvey Colbert hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Dan Froggatt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keepers's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Froggatt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillip Deveraux breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phillip Deveraux didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ty Bond went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ashton-in-Makerfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bart Bacon was slow to take the kick. During this time Keepers's players had a chance to rest. 30 minutes into the match, Rory Wilkinson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Keepers's Lloyd Dingle. Lloyd Dingle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Jude Seagrave hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rory Wilkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Keepers getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Donny Clayton hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Rory Wilkinson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lloyd Dingle. The goal made the score 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, James Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keepers's supporters rose to their feet, but James Shepherd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillip Deveraux breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Ty Bond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harvey Colbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lloyd Dingle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ashton-in-Makerfield getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Junior Ingham hit a great ball. Phillip Deveraux made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ty Bond in the 71st minute. Phillip Deveraux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Bond in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute, James Shepherd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Keepers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 82 minutes into the match, Ashton-in-Makerfield's goalkeeper Phillip Deveraux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ty Bond. Ashton-in-Makerfield's Harvey Colbert got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ty Bond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Ty Bond dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Phillip Deveraux, 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Keepers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
