The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jermaine Ellerby to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, James Shepherd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rob Dimmock was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Toby Flynn hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jermaine Ellerby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Shepherd took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rob Dimmock. Rob Dimmock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Keepers's Donny Clayton got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Ivan Fuller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fawards's Rob Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Bond in the 80th minute of play. Jermaine Ellerby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Keepers booed when Fawards was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Cheeseman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rob Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ty Bond in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Keepers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
