Spectators: 7778 (Terracing: 5834, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 155) FC Ísjaki's Vígþór Olgeirsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lúðvík Ævarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hólmgeir Hermansson in the 5th minute of play. Lúðvík Ævarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vígþór Olgeirsson in the 6th minute of the match. Hólmgeir Hermansson scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúðvík Ævarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Ísjaki's Vígþór Olgeirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ensku Gaflarnir's Lúðvík Ævarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hólmgeir Hermansson in the 20th minute of play. Gautviður Granason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hólmgeir Hermansson took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúðvík Ævarsson. Lúðvík Ævarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Hólmgeir Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúðvík Ævarsson having to interfere. Lúðvík Ævarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vígþór Olgeirsson in the 29th minute of play. Lúðvík Ævarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vígþór Olgeirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Ensku Gaflarnir got a freekick which was hit by Níls Sveinþórsson. FC Ísjaki's supporters rose to their feet, but Vígþór Olgeirsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúðvík Ævarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ásmar Logason might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúðvík Ævarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ásmar Logason ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half FC Ísjaki were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dór Dagsson to make the kick off. Svafar Þorbergsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúðvík Ævarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Lúðvík Ævarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vígþór Olgeirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Vígþór Olgeirsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hólmgeir Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hólmgeir Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúðvík Ævarsson having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Ensku Gaflarnir's goal looked a bit too open when Vígþór Olgeirsson came free, but Lúðvík Ævarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hólmgeir Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lúðvík Ævarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Eylaugur Ásgeirsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ensku Gaflarnir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ísjaki the free kick. Eylaugur Ásgeirsson hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Hólmgeir Hermansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Lúðvík Ævarsson made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ensku Gaflarnir's Ásólfur Oddmarsson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Vígþór Olgeirsson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hólmgeir Hermansson came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lúðvík Ævarsson could save by the left post. If Hólmgeir Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúðvík Ævarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vígþór Olgeirsson in the 83rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Vígþór Olgeirsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Lúðvík Ævarsson to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over FC Ísjaki could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ensku Gaflarnir throughout the match.
