Hugo Ásgrímsson came out of the goal and Svanlaugur Hilmirsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Columbia Business School's Böðvar Vilhjálmsson got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Columbia Business School's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hjálmtýr Ægisson was slow to take the kick. During this time Ísnes Akranesi's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ísnes Akranesi's Hjálmtýr Ægisson to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Ásgrímsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hugo Ásgrímsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fránn Erlendsson in the 18th minute of play. Ísnes Akranesi's Fránn Erlendsson got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Columbia Business School's Hugo Ásgrímsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fránn Erlendsson in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kolbeinn Friðþjófsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Ásgrímsson was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Columbia Business School's Vékell Níelsson came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Páll Sigurkarlsson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 37thth minute of the game Svanlaugur Hilmirsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Columbia Business School's Hugo Ásgrímsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Columbia Business School's goal looked a bit too open when Gnúpur Haraldsson came free, but Hugo Ásgrímsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vékell Níelsson struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Páll Sigurkarlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Columbia Business School. Fránn Erlendsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes Columbia Business School got a freekick which was hit by Smiður Eymundsson. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Columbia Business School's Hugo Ásgrímsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Columbia Business School from getting a goal against them. Hugo Ásgrímsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svanlaugur Hilmirsson in the 71st minute of play. When Svanlaugur Hilmirsson came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ísnes Akranesi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svanlaugur Hilmirsson couldn't finish the play. When Blær Reynaldsson fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Columbia Business School's protests and gave Blær Reynaldsson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Columbia Business School:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ísnes Akranesi:s goal. Svanlaugur Hilmirsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Svanlaugur Hilmirsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Hugo Ásgrímsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Ísnes Akranesi's Svanlaugur Hilmirsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Ásgrímsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hugo Ásgrímsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fránn Erlendsson in the 94th minute. When the match was over Ísnes Akranesi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Columbia Business School throughout the match.
