Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Höður Ketilsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Þorvar Gissurarson went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 11th minute Arthúr Hreiðarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Ásgrímsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Klemens Orrason came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Vakt Vogum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klemens Orrason couldn't finish the play. Columbia Business School's Blær Reynaldsson got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, Vakt Vogum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elfar Greipsson to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Sigurmann Erlendsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hugo Ásgrímsson, 1-1. The supporters of Vakt Vogum booed when Columbia Business School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esra Guðlaugsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Columbia Business School's Hugo Ásgrímsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthúr Hreiðarsson in the 31st minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Esra Guðlaugsson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Vakt Vogum's Höður Ketilsson. Höður Ketilsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arthúr Hreiðarsson was the one to do the kick off. Vatnar Andrésson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Ásgrímsson having to interfere. Columbia Business School's Hugo Ásgrímsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigurmann Erlendsson in the 53rd minute of play. Sigurmann Erlendsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Höður Ketilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esra Guðlaugsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthúr Hreiðarsson in the 60th minute of play forced Columbia Business School's goalkeeper Hugo Ásgrímsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthúr Hreiðarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Ásgrímsson having to interfere. Vékell Níelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes, Böðvar Vilhjálmsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Columbia Business School and the Vakt Vogum players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Vakt Vogum booed when Columbia Business School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Böðvar Vilhjálmsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arthúr Hreiðarsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugo Ásgrímsson. Columbia Business School's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hugo Ásgrímsson came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vakt Vogum's Arthúr Hreiðarsson. But to his dismay, Arthúr Hreiðarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Hugo Ásgrímsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brimar Pálmarsson in the 86th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Arthúr Hreiðarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vakt Vogum players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
