Ástvar Skaptason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Geirþjófur Bjarmarsson made a huge save. If Elbert Hinriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Sigsteinn Valbergsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Mánason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tumas Tómasson kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Snær Hauksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. máni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gala Akranesi the free kick. Sigsteinn Valbergsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krister Mánason. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sigsteinn Valbergsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Snær Hauksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Krister Mánason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sigsteinn Valbergsson in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Krister Mánason, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Gala Akranesi's zone, Snær Hauksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krister Mánason came out of the goal and Snær Hauksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gala Akranesi getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Kveldúlfur Árbjartsson hit a great ball. máni's Snær Hauksson got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigsteinn Valbergsson got free with Krister Mánason in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Erlar Vífilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Gala Akranesi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tumas Tómasson to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Willum Halsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 90 in the game by Sigsteinn Valbergsson from a close distance when the talented Krister Mánason managed to make a qualified save. Gala Akranesi's players were relieved.
