If Nils Vífilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Skarp Grenivík's goalkeeper Ráðvarður Garðarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hildimar Magnþórsson. Álfgrímur Ragnarsson scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nereo Urki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nils Vífilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, LUBAWIANKA's Fjólar Skaptason dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When Gabriel Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LUBAWIANKA's protests and gave Gabriel Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, LUBAWIANKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Mendes to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Nils Vífilsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skarp Grenivík's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LUBAWIANKA the free kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Vífilsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. LUBAWIANKA's Nereo Urki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save LUBAWIANKA from getting a goal against them. Húnbogi Arnbergsson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Nereo Urki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skarp Grenivík. After 55 minutes, Hildimar Magnþórsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LUBAWIANKA and the Skarp Grenivík players grew even worse after the yellow card. LUBAWIANKA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nils Vífilsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Skarp Grenivík's corner Nils Vífilsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nereo Urki quite easily take care of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Skarp Grenivík's goal looked a bit too open when Hildimar Magnþórsson came free, but Ráðvarður Garðarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Skarp Grenivík's Alex Fjölmundsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nereo Urki. That made the score 1-2 after 74 minutes of play. Ráðvarður Garðarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolai Fannarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hildimar Magnþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to LUBAWIANKA getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Salmann Arinbjörnsson hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikolai Fannarsson during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Álfgrímur Ragnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Skarp Grenivík echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as LUBAWIANKA had held the ball for most of the match.
