Gellir Hilmarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Mendes in the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, LUBAWIANKA's Nikolai Fannarsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gellir Hilmarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Gabriel Mendes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gellir Hilmarsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Gabriel Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the LUBAWIANKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Mendes couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Fjólar Skaptason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LUBAWIANKA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fjólar Skaptason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gellir Hilmarsson having to make a save. After a rather tough play, LUBAWIANKA's Kristmann Guðmundsson got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the game, LUBAWIANKA's Gabriel Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salmann Arinbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half LUBAWIANKA were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Nikolai Fannarsson fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LUBAWIANKA's protests and gave Nikolai Fannarsson a yellow card for diving instead. LUBAWIANKA's Nereo Urki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ævarr Böðvarsson in the 59th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Hörður's goalkeeper Gellir Hilmarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikolai Fannarsson. Hörður's Gellir Hilmarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friðbjörn Ísleifsson in the 71st minute of play. If Friðbjörn Ísleifsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gabriel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friðbjörn Ísleifsson in the 79th minute of play forced Hörður's goalkeeper Gellir Hilmarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gellir Hilmarsson having to interfere. Dómaldi Aronsson struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Nereo Urki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hörður. Gabriel Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristmann Guðmundsson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Ævarr Böðvarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Urki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over LUBAWIANKA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hörður throughout the match.
