Goðmundur Barðason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Auðbert Jafetsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hrafn Snæsson kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Hrafn Snæsson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Saltver Flúðum's Goðmundur Barðason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dvalinn Valbergsson in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gömlu Skordýrin's Hendrik Lárusson got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute Örn Björgólfsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goðmundur Barðason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Saltver Flúðum's goal looked a bit too open when Dvalinn Valbergsson came free, but Goðmundur Barðason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goðmundur Barðason came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Gömlu Skordýrin's Dvalinn Valbergsson. But to his dismay, Dvalinn Valbergsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 35th minute, Hrafn Snæsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saltver Flúðum's Goðmundur Barðason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dvalinn Valbergsson in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Varmar Reynaldsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saltver Flúðum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Skæringur Reyrsson kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Saltver Flúðum's goal looked a bit too open when Örn Björgólfsson came free, but Goðmundur Barðason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dvalinn Valbergsson in the 45th minute of play forced Saltver Flúðum's goalkeeper Goðmundur Barðason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goðmundur Barðason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dvalinn Valbergsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hrafn Snæsson made a kick off. Goðmundur Barðason made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Hendrik Lárusson sent off a good shot on target. Örn Björgólfsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Goðmundur Barðason came out and tried to block the shot, but Örn Björgólfsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 54th minute. Dvalinn Valbergsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goðmundur Barðason having to interfere. Signar Ármannsson made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Saltver Flúðum's Hrafn Snæsson. 61 minutes into the game, Signar Ármannsson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Saltver Flúðum's Hrafn Snæsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 64 minutes into the match, Saltver Flúðum's goalkeeper Goðmundur Barðason had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dvalinn Valbergsson. 74 minutes into the match, Saltver Flúðum's goal looked a bit too open when Örn Björgólfsson came free, but Goðmundur Barðason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dvalinn Valbergsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Goðmundur Barðason came out and tried to block the shot, but Dvalinn Valbergsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 79th minute. Örn Björgólfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Örn Björgólfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dvalinn Valbergsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Goðmundur Barðason made a huge save. The Saltver Flúðum fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gömlu Skordýrin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
