Maríus Tryggvason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Maríus Tryggvason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berghreinn Knútsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maríus Tryggvason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Starri Þrándsson in the 30th minute of the match. Flemming Edgarsson made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Þrymur Kalmannsson sent off a good shot on target. Berghreinn Knútsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maríus Tryggvason having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berghreinn Knútsson in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maríus Tryggvason saved Apra Harbor from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Vetrarsól got a freekick which was hit by Svanur Hrútsson.

Maríus Tryggvason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berghreinn Knútsson in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Berghreinn Knútsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maríus Tryggvason, 0-1. Maríus Tryggvason didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Vetrarsól's Berghreinn Knútsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Starri Þrándsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Maríus Tryggvason skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Berghreinn Knútsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vetrarsól's supporters rose to their feet, but Berghreinn Knútsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maríus Tryggvason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the game, one of Apra Harbor:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sigmundur Steinsson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Starri Þrándsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Apra Harbor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vetrarsól were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
