In the 26th minute, Jóvin Þengilsson made a precise shot to the right of Goðmundur Barðason. Saltver Flúðum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With a little luck, Saltver Flúðum's Goðmundur Barðason got control of the ball when Friðrik Erlingsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Goðmundur Barðason came out of the goal and Jóvin Þengilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Þórshöll Hrísey had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
