Neptúnus Kjartansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Eiríkur Granason made a huge save. Gissur Ívarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bergsveinn Hinriksson in the 16th minute of the match. Hlöðvarður Elísson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hólmgrímur Freysson made a kick off. A collision led to Vox Hvammstanga getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Emil Ómarsson hit a great ball. Gissur Ívarsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 51st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bergsveinn Hinriksson. In the 53rd match minute, Harka Blönduósi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Múli Margrímsson to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes Harka Blönduósi got a freekick which was hit by Hallgeir Másson. Otkell Bergsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Gissur Ívarsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77th minute, Hörður Hafþórsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eiríkur Granason was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Gunnvaldur Eiðsson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Harka Blönduósi's Hallgeir Másson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harka Blönduósi's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Vox Hvammstanga. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Vox Hvammstanga were victorious despite being under pressure from Harka Blönduósi for much of the match.
