Auðbjörn Hlöðversson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jósep Guðjónsson having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Nautin Flatey's Steinmar Þorkelsson threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rolf Ernirsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Steinmar Þorkelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Ernirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 24 minutes of play, Nautin Flatey's Rolf Ernirsson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steinmar Þorkelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The wind increased when Auðbjörn Hlöðversson made the kick off in the second half. Nautin Flatey's Rolf Ernirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jósep Guðjónsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörgen Pálmarsson in the 55th minute. Jörgen Pálmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jósep Guðjónsson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nautin Flatey's Eric Olgeirsson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jörgen Pálmarsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jósep Guðjónsson made a huge save. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nautin Flatey! The goalkeeper, Jósep Guðjónsson, was totally fooled by Gná Borgarfirði's Heikir Eyjólfsson, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rolf Ernirsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Heikir Eyjólfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Játgeir Arnbergsson, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rolf Ernirsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Auðbjörn Hlöðversson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jósep Guðjónsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Auðbjörn Hlöðversson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 83rd minute. Aspar Vilhelmsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the game, Sólbjartur Gestsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nautin Flatey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gná Borgarfirði the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Sólbjartur Gestsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörgen Pálmarsson got free with Jósep Guðjónsson in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gná Borgarfirði eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
