Hallberg Másson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ársæll Hamarsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Þiðrandi Bergmansson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Hallberg Másson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ársæll Hamarsson made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Hallberg Másson had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Arnviður Logason fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Útherji Súðavík's protests and gave Arnviður Logason a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jenni Randversson in the 97th minute of play forced Vernd Þórshöfn's goalkeeper Jörvar Gíslason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vernd Þórshöfn's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
