Spectators: 7749 (Terracing: 5813, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guðni Hrólfsson kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Jósef Dagfinnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjartmann Vífilsson having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Jósef Dagfinnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Bláu Drekarnir's goal looked a bit too open when Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson came free, but Bjartmann Vífilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jósef Dagfinnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Bláu Drekarnir booed when Virgo Flateyri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uni Bjarnason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bjartmann Vífilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sigurgísli Guðbjarnason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kár Dagfinnsson in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson in the 31st minute of play forced Bláu Drekarnir's goalkeeper Bjartmann Vífilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mekkinó Guðmundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Jósef Dagfinnsson came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Bláu Drekarnir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jósef Dagfinnsson couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Mekkinó Guðmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigurgísli Guðbjarnason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mekkinó Guðmundsson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bláu Drekarnir's zone, Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjartmann Vífilsson came out of the goal and Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mekkinó Guðmundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Virgo Flateyri getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gneisti Pétursson hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Jeremías Hjálmtýsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71stth minute of the game Mekkinó Guðmundsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virgo Flateyri's Sigurgísli Guðbjarnason was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bjartmann Vífilsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bjartmann Vífilsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, Mekkinó Guðmundsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sigurgísli Guðbjarnason was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Bláu Drekarnir's Bjartmann Vífilsson got control of the ball when Sigurbaldur Jónþórsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bláu Drekarnir were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
