Hallur Þorrason kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Eldar Gestsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mímir Geislason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Eldar Gestsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eldar Gestsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sóló Mosfellsbæ's Steingrímur Pálmason got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Friðbergur Agnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The Sóló Mosfellsbæ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Örn Kjaransson should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Tófurnar Flatey's goal looked a bit too open when Arngrímur Falgeirsson came free, but Ragnar Friðriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hrafnbergur Jónsteinsson fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Ragnar Friðriksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Tófurnar Flatey's zone, Friðbergur Agnarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ragnar Friðriksson came out of the goal and Friðbergur Agnarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sóló Mosfellsbæ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
