Eldar Guðmarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. EniNgaR's Eldar Guðmarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valgarður Björgólfsson in the 17th minute of play. Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eldar Guðmarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valgarður Björgólfsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eldar Guðmarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valgarður Björgólfsson ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eldar Guðmarsson saved EniNgaR from getting behind. EniNgaR's Sýrus Ásþórsson got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rósenberg Eðvarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. KFUM Bæ's Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldar Guðmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eldar Guðmarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valgarður Björgólfsson in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, EniNgaR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daði Guðmundsson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in EniNgaR's zone, Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eldar Guðmarsson came out of the goal and Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sýrus Ásþórsson to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, KFUM Bæ's Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eldar Guðmarsson. Eldar Guðmarsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Valgarður Björgólfsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eldar Guðmarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valgarður Björgólfsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Methúsalem Kristbjörnsson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the KFUM Bæ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Kaprasíus Gilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stirnir Egilsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KFUM Bæ's zone, Kaprasíus Gilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stirnir Egilsson came out of the goal and Kaprasíus Gilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of KFUM Bæ booed when EniNgaR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Embrek Hænsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Benedikt Gretarsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EniNgaR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFUM Bæ the free kick. In the 71st minute, one of EniNgaR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EniNgaR. Jakop Eðvarsson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 79th minute, Kaprasíus Gilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 80 minutes, Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFUM Bæ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eldar Guðmarsson having to interfere. Eldar Guðmarsson came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by KFUM Bæ's Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson. But to his dismay, Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sýrus Ásþórsson in the 89th minute of play forced KFUM Bæ's goalkeeper Stirnir Egilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Valgarður Björgólfsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFUM Bæ's supporters rose to their feet, but Valgarður Björgólfsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eldar Guðmarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, EniNgaR's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rósinkrans Unnsteinsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lárentíus Mánason blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eldar Guðmarsson having to make a save. The EniNgaR fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. KFUM Bæ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
