The Léttir Höfn fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Léttir Höfn's Herbjörn Garpsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Brandur Aronsson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hænir Níelsson sent off a good shot on target. Hænir Níelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Herbjörn Garpsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes, Hauksteinn Hreinsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool PUB FC and the Léttir Höfn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Liverpool PUB FC's Hauksteinn Hreinsson got a free kick in the 37th minute. The Léttir Höfn fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Léttir Höfn's Herbjörn Garpsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With a little luck, Liverpool PUB FC's Tóbías Elísson got control of the ball when Dufþakur Sindrason tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Léttir Höfn's Tóbías Elísson threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Herbjörn Garpsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Léttir Höfn booed when Liverpool PUB FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sólmundur Sigfússon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tóbías Elísson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbjörn Garpsson's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Herbjörn Garpsson scored 1-5 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tóbías Elísson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbjörn Garpsson in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tóbías Elísson saved Liverpool PUB FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Manfred Marvinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Léttir Höfn's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfred Marvinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tóbías Elísson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brandur Aronsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hænir Níelsson in the 86th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Herbjörn Garpsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Manfred Marvinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tóbías Elísson having to interfere. Tóbías Elísson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Marvinsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 99th minute, Herbjörn Garpsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
