Annar Eyvindarson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hænir Níelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Annar Eyvindarson got free with Tóbías Elísson in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bergmann Darrason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amos Magnþórsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Móses Dagbjartsson during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bergmann Darrason struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Amos Magnþórsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool PUB FC. Tóbías Elísson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Finnbogason, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Liverpool PUB FC's Hauksteinn Hreinsson got a free kick in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Liverpool PUB FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Finnbogason came free, but Tóbías Elísson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alex Finnbogason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Liverpool PUB FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sólmundur Sigfússon to maneuver through the defense.
