Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ævar Dónaldsson kicked off to start the match. Marteinn Sigmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Njáll Skaptason having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Garðar Halldórsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grundaval's supporters rose to their feet, but Garðar Halldórsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 9 minutes, Steinvarður Þorvaldsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grundaval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steinvarður Þorvaldsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garðar Halldórsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marteinn Sigmarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garðar Halldórsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ævar Dónaldsson struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Njáll Skaptason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tetra Kópavogi. Björgúlfur Svangeirsson kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jóhannes Hrútsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 31st minute of the match, Marteinn Sigmarsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Njáll Skaptason was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garðar Halldórsson's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Björgúlfur Svangeirsson hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match Jóhannes Hrútsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Þjóðrekur Kristinsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Grundaval's Njáll Skaptason got control of the ball when Marteinn Sigmarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eldur Ósvaldsson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garðar Halldórsson made a kick off. Björgúlfur Svangeirsson charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Björgúlfur Svangeirsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson got control of the ball when Steinvarður Þorvaldsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Tetra Kópavogi from getting a goal against them. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garðar Halldórsson in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steinvarður Þorvaldsson got free with Þjóðrekur Kristinsson in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Steinvarður Þorvaldsson sent off a good shot on target. Steinvarður Þorvaldssons short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Þjóðrekur Kristinsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garðar Halldórsson in the 83rd minute of play. Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Tetra Kópavogi from getting a goal against them. Freysteinn Flókason kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Snælaugur Bragason missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 88 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Njáll Skaptason right hand side. Steinvarður Þorvaldsson got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Þjóðrekur Kristinsson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Marteinn Sigmarsson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tetra Kópavogi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marteinn Sigmarsson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ævar Dónaldsson in the 95th minute of play forced Grundaval's goalkeeper Njáll Skaptason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
