Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ævar Dónaldsson started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Númi Þormóðsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Tetra Kópavogi from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes in the game, Númi Þormóðsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Þjóðrekur Kristinsson having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Snælaugur Bragason was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tetra Kópavogi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elgur Kjörvogi the free kick. The supporters of Elgur Kjörvogi booed when Tetra Kópavogi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Snælaugur Bragason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedikt Ákason blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Þjóðrekur Kristinsson having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedikt Ákason in the 15th minute of play forced Tetra Kópavogi's goalkeeper Þjóðrekur Kristinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elgur Kjörvogi were furious when Ævarr Hænsson was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 16th minute, Ævarr Hænsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Snælaugur Bragason made a precise shot to the right of Ásgeir Snæfinnsson. Elgur Kjörvogi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tetra Kópavogi's zone, Benedikt Ákason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson came out of the goal and Benedikt Ákason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dúi Alexandersson struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elgur Kjörvogi. Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Tetra Kópavogi from getting a goal against them. Ásgeir Snæfinnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björgúlfur Svangeirsson in the 24th minute of play. Dúi Alexandersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Þjóðrekur Kristinsson made a huge save. Benedikt Ákason struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elgur Kjörvogi. When Benedikt Ákason came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Elgur Kjörvogi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedikt Ákason couldn't finish the play. Dúi Alexandersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Þjóðrekur Kristinsson having to interfere. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson was a little too slow when Otur Hauksson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Benedikt Ákason notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Tetra Kópavogi's Þjóðrekur Kristinsson. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Númi Þormóðsson made the kick off in the second half. Dúi Alexandersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Þjóðrekur Kristinsson having to make a save. A collision led to Tetra Kópavogi getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Sölvar Maríasson hit a great ball. Númi Þormóðsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Elgur Kjörvogi got a freekick which was hit by Eldór Elbertsson. After 59 played minutes, Tetra Kópavogi's Snælaugur Bragason shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ásgeir Snæfinnsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tetra Kópavogi reached it. Benedikt Ákason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otur Hauksson hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Tetra Kópavogi's goal looked a bit too open when Númi Þormóðsson came free, but Þjóðrekur Kristinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otur Hauksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Þjóðrekur Kristinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Tetra Kópavogi's goal looked a bit too open when Dúi Alexandersson came free, but Þjóðrekur Kristinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tetra Kópavogi's Björgúlfur Svangeirsson got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute Númi Þormóðsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Þjóðrekur Kristinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Geirmundur Viðarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedikt Ákason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Þjóðrekur Kristinsson having to interfere. Númi Þormóðsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute.
