Kristmar Eðvarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Goð Vörmuhlíð's Kolfinnur Kjartansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnbjörn Dagþórsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Kristmar Eðvarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnbjörn Dagþórsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnbjörn Dagþórsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristmar Eðvarsson to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Kristmar Eðvarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnbjörn Dagþórsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 65th minute, Olivert Óttarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geirfinnur Hafþórsson hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Kolfinnur Kjartansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Goð Vörmuhlíð's zone, Gísli Sólbergsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Jakobsson came out of the goal and Gísli Sólbergsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goð Vörmuhlíð's Kolfinnur Kjartansson got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnbjörn Dagþórsson made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Kolfinnur Kjartansson sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Gísli Sólbergsson made a precise shot to the right of Ferdinand Jakobsson.
