With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gísli Sólbergsson in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Skafti Finnbjörnsson saved Ás Kjörvogi from getting behind. A collision led to Ás Kjörvogi getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Áslákur Guðleifsson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ás Kjörvogi's zone, Ólafur Kristjánsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Skafti Finnbjörnsson came out of the goal and Ólafur Kristjánsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Sævaldur Guðþórsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Skafti Finnbjörnsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Skafti Finnbjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gísli Sólbergsson in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Ás Kjörvogi got a freekick which was hit by Þorgils Kjartansson. Harka Þórshöfn's Arnbjörn Dagþórsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Þórlindur Oddvarsson in the 30th minute of play. Arnbjörn Dagþórsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Þórlindur Oddvarsson's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Vigtýr Ráðgeirsson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagfinnur Hilmarsson in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnbjörn Dagþórsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Skafti Finnbjörnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gísli Sólbergsson in the 70th minute of the match. When Aríus Leifsson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Harka Þórshöfn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aríus Leifsson couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Gísli Sólbergsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Skafti Finnbjörnsson was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Harka Þórshöfn's Sigurleifur Ingólfsson got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagfinnur Hilmarsson in the 81st minute of play forced Harka Þórshöfn's goalkeeper Arnbjörn Dagþórsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Þórlindur Oddvarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Skafti Finnbjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
