After 15 minutes of play, Tekton Grenivík's Allan Lúðvíksson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigursteinn Viðarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute, Mars Ísólfsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vilbrandur Elísson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Vilbrandur Elísson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tekton Grenivík's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilbrandur Elísson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigursteinn Viðarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Allan Lúðvíksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sigursteinn Viðarsson. Fram Bíldudal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allan Lúðvíksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Sigursteinn Viðarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilbrandur Elísson in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vilbrandur Elísson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sigursteinn Viðarsson was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Friðgeir Einarsson hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tekton Grenivík's zone, Höskuldur Guðnason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sindri Elbertsson came out of the goal and Höskuldur Guðnason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Vilbrandur Elísson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tekton Grenivík fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 86th minute, Hergill Eðvarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Geirhvatur Knútsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sigursteinn Viðarsson skillfully saved the ball. Friðgeir Einarsson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Tekton Grenivík's Sindri Elbertsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Höskuldur Guðnason in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tekton Grenivík's zone, Höskuldur Guðnason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sindri Elbertsson came out of the goal and Höskuldur Guðnason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
