Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bent Andrason started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heinrekur Högnason in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Dómaldi Galdursson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Barça FC's goalkeeper Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heinrekur Högnason. Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dómaldi Galdursson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jesper Hróason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson made a huge save. After 24 minutes, Sólbergur Hásteinsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barça FC and the Minney Grímsey players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sólbergur Hásteinsson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Heinrekur Högnason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Barça FC's Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson got control of the ball when Heinrekur Högnason tried to sneak it across the goal line. Heinrekur Högnason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bent Andrason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Dómaldi Galdursson made the kick off in the second half. When Dómaldi Galdursson came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Minney Grímsey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dómaldi Galdursson couldn't finish the play. Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heinrekur Högnason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Dómaldi Galdursson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Barça FC's Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson. Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bent Andrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dómaldi Galdursson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minney Grímsey's supporters rose to their feet, but Dómaldi Galdursson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Minney Grímsey's Heinrekur Högnason in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barça FC's goalie prevented a goal. Bent Andrason struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Örnólfur Magnússon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barça FC. After a rather tough play, Barça FC's Kaj Hrolleifsson got a free kick in the 78th minute. Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinrekur Högnason, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Barça FC's Þorgnýr Guðfinnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dómaldi Galdursson in the 83rd minute of play. Bent Andrason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kópur Ingvarsson fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 91st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. If Bent Andrason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Minney Grímsey players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
