Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Þeyr Sigmarsson in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Hallmar Hallgrímsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Þeyr Sigmarsson in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lækur Húsavík's zone, Max Valbjörnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiðberg Björnsson came out of the goal and Max Valbjörnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vorm Svanbergsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lækur Húsavík supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Míra Flateyri's performance. The match ended with a win for Míra Flateyri.
