Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ásvaldur Bergþórsson kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Borgþór Georgsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sztorm Keflavik FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akkur Flúðum the free kick. After 5 played minutes Sztorm Keflavik FC got a freekick which was hit by Borgþór Georgsson. If Loki Jónasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Steinröður Hansson made a precise shot to the right of Sindri Ásmundarson. Akkur Flúðum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Sztorm Keflavik FC's Steinn Bjarmason proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Sztorm Keflavik FC from getting a goal against them. Steinröður Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borgþór Georgsson scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sindri Ásmundarson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Steinn Bjarmason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björgmundur Þorrason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steinröður Hansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loki Jónasson in the 33rd minute of play forced Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper Sindri Ásmundarson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sztorm Keflavik FC booed when Akkur Flúðum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björgmundur Þorrason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steinröður Hansson took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sindri Ásmundarson. Sindri Ásmundarson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Játgeir Jóngeirsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sindri Ásmundarson. Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 46th minute, Loki Jónasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sindri Ásmundarson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steinröður Hansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loki Jónasson got free with Sindri Ásmundarson in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper Sindri Ásmundarson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steinröður Hansson. Loki Jónasson scored 0-5 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sindri Ásmundarson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Loki Jónasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sindri Ásmundarson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Borgþór Georgsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sindri Ásmundarson. That made the score 0-6 in the 71 minute of play. Loki Jónasson charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loki Jónasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, Loki Jónasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Adolfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sindri Ásmundarson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steinröður Hansson in the 79th minute. Borgþór Georgsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Loki Jónasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Sindri Ásmundarson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Sztorm Keflavik FC's Hergils Njálsson got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Sztorm Keflavik FC played a much better game than Akkur Flúðum and deserved their victory. The Akkur Flúðum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
