Játgeir Vignisson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bertel Rúnarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertel Rúnarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bertel Rúnarsson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Hólm Lárusson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dómaldi Valsson. Völur Ólafsvík's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svanur Oddbergsson in the 17th managed to get into a good position. Njarðvík Vopnafirði's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Völur Ólafsvík the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Svanur Oddbergsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dómaldi Valsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the referee ended the match the Njarðvík Vopnafirði players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
