Berkay Koçyiğit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lín Kjörvogi's Eldar Axelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Lín Kjörvogi from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Míra Flateyri's Gyrðir Sturluson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eldar Axelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eldar Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gyrðir Sturluson in the 32nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rósi Snæfinnsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eldar Axelsson. That made the score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. Lín Kjörvogi's Eldar Axelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Lín Kjörvogi from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the match, Lín Kjörvogi's goalkeeper Eldar Axelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalmar Níelsson. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Míra Flateyri's goal looked a bit too open when Reinar Arnljótsson came free, but Berkay Koçyiğit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Lín Kjörvogi's goal looked a bit too open when Gyrðir Sturluson came free, but Eldar Axelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Lín Kjörvogi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ríkharður Sveinþórsson to maneuver through the defense. Eldar Axelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmar Níelsson's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Eldar Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gyrðir Sturluson in the 70th minute of play. Reifnir Jónþórsson's late challenge caught a Míra Flateyri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reifnir Jónþórsson helped the player get up and apologised. Reifnir Jónþórsson kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72ndth minute of the game Dalmar Níelsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lín Kjörvogi's Eldar Axelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Míra Flateyri's Dalmar Níelsson in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lín Kjörvogi's goalie prevented a goal. After 75 played minutes Lín Kjörvogi got a freekick which was hit by Bragi Erlingsson. Berkay Koçyiğit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinar Arnljótsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Rósi Snæfinnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Míra Flateyri booed when Lín Kjörvogi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geirarður Arndórsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rósi Snæfinnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Lín Kjörvogi's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmar Níelsson came free, but Eldar Axelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eldar Axelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalmar Níelsson went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Míra Flateyri's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
