Ásmar Másson went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Rockets FC's corner Ásmar Másson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filippus Geislason quite easily take care of the ball. Filippus Geislason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lýður Benediktsson in the 31st minute of play. Þýsku Tærnar's Filippus Geislason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson in the 33rd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edvard Jökulsson to make the kick off. Filippus Geislason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erlingur Þengilsson in the 55th minute of the match. Erlingur Þengilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Borgar Ósvaldsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Jökulsson in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Marías Hilmirsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockets FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
