In the 12th minute, KS Hellu's Hólmar Dagbjartsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Stef Bíldudal's Hjálmur Ingmarsson got control of the ball when Styrbjörn Sverrisson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valíant Hafsteinssons short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Hjálmur Ingmarsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hólmar Dagbjartsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Hjálmur Ingmarsson made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Benitez during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stef Bíldudal's Generoso Benitez got a free kick in the 19th minute. Hnikar Baldursson's late challenge caught a Stef Bíldudal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hnikar Baldursson helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Styrbjörn Sverrisson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hjálmur Ingmarsson. That made the score 3-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 37th play minute Styrbjörn Sverrisson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hjálmur Ingmarsson. 4-0. 41 minutes into the match, Stef Bíldudal's goalkeeper Hjálmur Ingmarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hólmar Dagbjartsson. In the 43rd minute Valíant Hafsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjálmur Ingmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bavo Wigers made a kick off. Hólmar Dagbjartsson scored 5-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hjálmur Ingmarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hnikar Baldursson in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hjálmur Ingmarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hjálmur Ingmarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hólmar Dagbjartsson in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Styrbjörn Sverrisson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hjálmur Ingmarsson. Stef Bíldudal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Styrbjörn Sverrisson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After some careless play in the Stef Bíldudal defense, Styrbjörn Sverrisson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hjálmur Ingmarsson. The Stef Bíldudal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hjálmur Ingmarsson should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Valíant Hafsteinsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hjálmur Ingmarsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. KS Hellu's Styrbjörn Sverrisson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute Hólmar Dagbjartsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjálmur Ingmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hjálmur Ingmarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hnikar Baldursson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hólmar Dagbjartsson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hólmar Dagbjartsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hólmar Dagbjartsson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. KS Hellu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
