With his leg Valur Eyjólfsson managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Stef Bíldudal's Bavo Wigers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd match minute, Fjelsted Vík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Níels Þorsteinsson to maneuver through the defense. Lindar Gylfason scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hjálmur Ingmarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kaleb Óðinsson fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stef Bíldudal's protests and gave Kaleb Óðinsson a yellow card for diving instead. Hjálmur Ingmarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindar Gylfason in the 35th minute of play. Hjálmur Ingmarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daði Jökulsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Kaleb Óðinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Lindar Gylfason put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Hjálmur Ingmarsson. Lindar Gylfason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daði Jökulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bavo Wigers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Narfi Albertsson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Bavo Wigers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valur Eyjólfsson having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gert den Hertogh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valur Eyjólfsson was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 65th match minute, Fjelsted Vík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Skúta Másson to maneuver through the defense. Fjelsted Vík's Daði Jökulsson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Ferdinand Hjartarsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Hjálmur Ingmarsson to make any attempt to save it. Lindar Gylfason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daði Jökulsson struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Hjálmur Ingmarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fjelsted Vík. Fjelsted Vík's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
