Rockets FC's Ásmar Másson got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes in the game, Seifur Guðfinnsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tístran Bjargmundarson having to interfere. Crystals's Tístran Bjargmundarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lýður Benediktsson in the 14th minute of play. Tístran Bjargmundarson made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Seifur Guðfinnsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute, Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tístran Bjargmundarson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tístran Bjargmundarson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lýður Benediktsson's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Rockets FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ásmar Másson in the 21st minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Lýður Benediktsson got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 22 minutes into the match. Eymar Másson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 33 played minutes Crystals got a freekick which was hit by Hergeir Jósafatsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jóann Sindrason in the 35th minute of play forced Rockets FC's goalkeeper Borgar Ósvaldsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tístran Bjargmundarson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lýður Benediktsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Ásmar Másson came free, but Tístran Bjargmundarson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Rockets FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson couldn't finish the play. After 41 minutes, Sigurgísli Brynjólfsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crystals and the Rockets FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sigurgísli Brynjólfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Seifur Guðfinnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Tístran Bjargmundarson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seifur Guðfinnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tístran Bjargmundarson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tístran Bjargmundarson came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rockets FC's Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson. But to his dismay, Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Tístran Bjargmundarson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tístran Bjargmundarson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Crystals defense, Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tístran Bjargmundarson. The Crystals fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tístran Bjargmundarson should have stopped the shot. Marías Hilmirsson took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tístran Bjargmundarson. Tístran Bjargmundarson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 84th minute, Gameiro Mazars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tístran Bjargmundarson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lýður Benediktsson in the 92nd minute of the match. Tístran Bjargmundarson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lýður Benediktsson in the 94th minute of play. After 95 minutes, Eymar Másson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crystals and the Rockets FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Eymar Másson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson in the 96th minute of play forced Crystals's goalkeeper Tístran Bjargmundarson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rockets FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
