With a couple of smart ball manuevers Styrkár Erlingsson in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Þjóstólfur Ósvaldsson saved Feiko FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sölvi Dagfinnsson during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sölvi Dagfinnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Örnólfur Hannesson made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 8thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Hallfreður Brynjarsson would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 10 minutes Grimmu Tröllin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bjarnsteinn Oddbergsson who took care of the corner kick. After 12 played minutes Feiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Brimi Hjaltason. Móses Freysson's late challenge caught a Grimmu Tröllin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Móses Freysson helped the player get up and apologised. Móses Freysson kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Örnólfur Hannesson made a precise shot to the right of Hallfreður Brynjarsson . Grimmu Tröllin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 25th match minute, Feiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Móses Freysson to maneuver through the defense. Skírnir Másson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Þjóstólfur Ósvaldsson. Feiko FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Feiko FC's Brimi Hjaltason got a free kick in the 35th minute. Þjóstólfur Ósvaldsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Styrkár Erlingsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hrærekur Hjaltason made a kick off. Max Hrafnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hallfreður Brynjarsson . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Max Hrafnsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Grimmu Tröllin's Eldjárn Hjörvarsson got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some careless play in the Grimmu Tröllin defense, Max Hrafnsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hallfreður Brynjarsson . The Grimmu Tröllin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hallfreður Brynjarsson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hrærekur Hjaltason in the 64th minute of play forced Feiko FC's goalkeeper Þjóstólfur Ósvaldsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grimmu Tröllin's zone, Örnólfur Hannesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hallfreður Brynjarsson came out of the goal and Örnólfur Hannesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Max Hrafnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grimmu Tröllin's Hallfreður Brynjarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örnólfur Hannesson in the 76th minute of play. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the referee ended the match the Feiko FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
