Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kolviður Eyþórsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Guðfinnur Oddsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beinteinn Friðriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 18th minute, Steinn Daníelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beinteinn Friðriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jóndór Snæfinnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27thth minute of the game Jóndór Snæfinnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flink Kópaskeri's Beinteinn Friðriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guðfinnur Oddsson in the 29th minute of play forced Flink Kópaskeri's goalkeeper Beinteinn Friðriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sólmundur Reynisson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ellert Hinriksson in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Flink Kópaskeri's goal looked a bit too open when Steinn Daníelsson came free, but Beinteinn Friðriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beinteinn Friðriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steinn Daníelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ellert Hinriksson got free with Sólmundur Reynisson in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flink Kópaskeri's Beinteinn Friðriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guðfinnur Oddsson in the 44th minute of play. Álfur Davíðsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Jóndór Snæfinnsson made the kick off in the second half. Guðfinnur Oddsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beinteinn Friðriksson having to interfere. With a little luck, Flink Kópaskeri's Beinteinn Friðriksson got control of the ball when Guðfinnur Oddsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flink Kópaskeri:s Beinteinn Friðriksson showed great skill when he stopped Geirharður Elísson:s penalty. In the 60th minute Jóndór Snæfinnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beinteinn Friðriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ellert Hinriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Jóndór Snæfinnsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Beinteinn Friðriksson. The goal made the score 0-3. If Kolviður Eyþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Flink Kópaskeri's Beinteinn Friðriksson got control of the ball when Álfur Davíðsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Geirharður Elísson fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orlof Blönduósi's protests and gave Geirharður Elísson a yellow card for diving instead. Geirharður Elísson hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
